Harrisburg Funeral & CremationDouglas Frederick Slee, 53 of Concord, NC passed away on July 5, 2025.
Doug was born in Denver, Colorado on July 18, 1971 to the late George Slee and Lois McIlvaine Slee.
Along with his parents, Doug is preceded in death by his uncles Fred Slee, Ronald Sheldon and Bud McIlvaine, his aunt Joan Sheldon, as well as two nephews Iain Murray and Adam Woodard.
He is survived by his seven brothers and sisters – Bonnie Slee Woodard, John Slee, Cindy Barrett, Robin Cunningham, Robert Slee, Lori Murray and Carol Cowles. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
A memorial will be held on August 16th at the Coulwood Community Clubhouse: 506 Coulwood Dr, Charlotte, NC 28214 from 12:00 – 3:00pm
Any donations at the memorial will be donated to local animal shelters. If you are unable to attend the memorial, please donate to your local shelter in his memory. He wasn’t big on flowers, but he loved cats.
Doug loved his heavy metal, his comics and Doctor Who. He will be missed by his family and friends. He left us far too soon. We wish he could have stayed a lot longer.
