Dr. John Vandenberge, 88, of Ellicott City, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2025, at Lorien Nursing Home in Elkridge. Born June 20, 1936 in Holland, he was the son of the late Johannus D. and Johanna Vandenberge, nee Bakker. He was the beloved husband of Linda Vandenberge, nee Dorn, his wife of 58 years, who passed away November 29, 2017; devoted father of John Griffith, William David Reese and his wife Hannah, Martin Baker and his wife Becky, and Alan Thomas and his wife Jennifer; cherished Opa of John Marco, Simon, Tyler, Victoria, Alyssa, and Blake. He is predeceased by his brothers Martin and Jack Vandenberge.

Dr. Vandenberge was a doctor of Dentistry and Anesthesiology and loved to play and watch soccer and tennis. He was raised during WWII in war- torn Rotterdam.

The family will receive family and friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2025 at the MacNABB FUNERAL HOME, P.A., 301 Frederick Road, Catonsville (21228). A Funeral Service will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at the Bishop Cummins Reformed Episcopal Church, 2001 Frederick Road, Catonsville (21228). Interment will be in Meadowridge Memorial Park, Elkridge.
