Highgate Center – Duane John Tremblay, a lifelong area resident passed away Sunday June 22, 2025, at the Northwestern Medical Center.
Born in St. Albans on April 24, 1946, he was the son of the late Richard and Estella (Sorrell) Tremblay, Duane was 79 years old.
Duane entered the Vermont Army National Guard in 1963 and received his honorable discharge in 1969. He was employed for many years at the former Eveready Battery Company, was a member of the Future Farmers of America, was an active member of the Highgate Alumni Association, and was an avid RVer. He also was active with the Champlain Valley Road Runners camping club.
Survivors include his son, Keith Tremblay, and grandson Hunter Tremblay. Daughter Tina Zachary, and her husband Art, and grandchildren, Allen Zachary, his wife Lexie and Kristina Zachary.
Duane is also survived by his siblings, Charlie Tremblay, twin sister, Donna McWilliams and Mary Savage and several nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of Duane's life will be held by his family at a later date.

I was a privilege to have Duane in our lives. He was a good Dad and Grandpa and terrific cousin and a marvelous friend. He will be missed but those who new him have good memories. A good man and will be missed Hugs to the Family. Sandie and Peter Trombley
