Earl Jackson Obituary

Earl Ray Jackson, 93, of New Albany, IN passed away on the afternoon of Tuesday, March 25th at Green Valley Care Center. Earl was blessed with over 57 loving years of marriage to his late wife Jean M. (McNaughton) Jackson. He was born in New Albany to the late Homer D. and Helen (Rice) Jackson and was a member of Central Christian Church in New Albany. He was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge #39 in New Albany and was recently awarded his 50-year pin. He was also a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star LaBelle Chapter #419 in Jeffersonville, IN.
Earl retired after working for over 20 years at Belknap Hardware and Manufacturing in Louisville, Kentucky and later the New Albany/Floyd County School Corporation.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother Irvin Lee Jackson, sisters-in-law Sandra Jackson and Thelma McNaughton and his niece, Mary Jones.
Left to cherish her memory are his sisters, Ada Jean Walker (John) and Wilma Sneed, his nephew, John "Jack" McNaughton; and nieces, Carol White, Jean Conklin, Dianna Britt, Linda Abbott (Donnie), Trish Warren (Jeff), Connie Owens (Scott), Keisha Reschar and numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Shannon Graham who went above and beyond in caring for Earl and to all of the wonderful people at Green Valley Nursing Home.
Visitation will be held at the Market Street Chapel of the Naville & Seabrook Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025, from 11 AM – 3 PM, with the Funeral Service to start at 3 PM. Earl will be privately entombed at Graceland Memorial Park.
