Earl Randolf “Randy” Penwell 73 of Bainbridge died Monday, August 18, 2025, at his home following a battle with cancer. He was born Wednesday, March 19, 1952, in Pike County the son of the late Russell Ernie and Clarabelle (Short) Penwell.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Loretta (Rooker) Penwell; daughter Danetta Penwell; son Johnny Penwell (Heather Robbins); five grandchildren Kenny Kerns, Kyle Kerns, Kristopher Kerns, Kya Kerns and Kameron Penwell; two great grandchildren Calista and Kota Kerns; sisters Peggy (Roger) Tong and Melody Cross both of Fairview; brothers, Roy (Carolyn) Penwell of Latham, Ricky (Penny) Penwell and David (Marsha) Penwell all of Fairview and Tony (Tammy) Penwell of Peebles; all his friends at the Paxton Restaurant and his four-legged children Hyde, Taffy and Snowball.
In addition to his parents Randy was preceded in death by his siblings, Terry Penwell, Ora “Gene” Penwell, Laura Mae Jackson, Susan Penwell and Zorritta Knisley.
Randy worked at many different jobs throughout his life, and he loved being outdoors; whether it be hunting, fishing, sitting on the porch enjoying the sunshine or riding the four-wheeler.
In honoring Randy’s wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services.
