Earl A. Rohrbach, 72, Artas, SD, died Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Avera Eureka Healthcare Center, Eureka, SD. Services are scheduled for 10:30 AM, Monday, July 7, 2025 at Lien-Straub-Carlsen Chapel, Eureka, led by Pastor Perry Schnabel. Recorded vocal selections will be "I Wanna Stroll Through Heaven with You" by Alan Jackson and "How Great Thou Art". Bearers will be Earl's sons- Kim and Jason. Honorary bearers will be Billy Mills, Blake Mills, Owen Shingle, and Jeff Krenz.
Earl Albert Rohrbach, son of Esther (Beck) and Albert Rohrbach, was born July 23, 1952 at Eureka. He was brought up on the family farm two miles west of Artas. He attended the Artas School, Eureka High School (Class of 1970) and Mitchell Area Vocational Technical Institute, Mitchell, SD where he earned a welding degree. He then returned to the family farmed where he lived the rest of his life. He farmed and ranched until early this year when his health no longer would permit. He was a member of the Eureka United Methodist Church (currently Saving Grace Community Church). Earl enjoyed watching westerns, hunting, fishing, riding his four-wheeler with his cat, Goldie, pinochle, and had a great love for animals. He especially cherished time spent with family.
Earl is survived by his best friend, Elaine Levi of Artas; two sons-Kim Rohrbach and Jason (Roberta) Rohrbach of Eureka; one daughter, Tammy (Billy) Mills of Herreid, SD; one sister, Joyce (Carol) Rohrich of Winona, MN; 11 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Albert, on January 31, 2001 and his mother, Esther, on July 29, 2004.
Services are in care of Lien-Straub-Carlsen Chapel, Eureka.
