Eddie Marlon Billingsley, age 79, of Clanton, Alabama passed away peacefully at his home on July 17, 2025. Eddie leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, and unwavering devotion to his family and friends. A lifelong resident of Clanton and member of Highland Baptist Church, Eddie's gentle spirit and patient nature were hallmarks of a life well-lived.
He was born April 2, 1946, in Chilton County, Alabama, son of the late Julius Billingsley and the late Mildred Billingsley.
Eddie was a kind and loving man whose warmth touched everyone who knew him. He was deeply devoted to his family and church, serving faithfully at Highland Baptist for decades. Whether lending a helping hand or offering a word of encouragement, Eddie's quiet strength and steadfast faith made him a source of comfort and wisdom to many.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Elizabeth Billingsley; his daughter, Lisa Billingsley (Keith Jolley); grandsons, Dustin Gray (Caroline) and Stetson Gray (Kelsea Barnett); and a cherished great-granddaughter, Saylor Gray. He is also survived by his loving brothers: Edward Billingsley (Emma), Herbert Billingsley (Earlene), Herchel Billingsley (Glenda), and Melvin Billingsley (Louise).
Eddie was preceded in death by his parents, Julius Clint and Mildred Billingsley, and his brother, Julius Clint Billingsley, Jr.
Eddie's legacy lives on in the lives of those he loved so deeply. He will be remembered always for his kindness, patience, and unwavering faith.
Friends will be received Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church.
Services will be held Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Baptist Church with Rev. O'Neal Cleckler officiating.
Interment will follow in Highland Baptist Cemetery.
