Eddie Fisher Obituary

Eddie Douglas Fisher, age 70, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at his
home in Gordo, Al at 12:27am. He was born on July 1, 1954 at DCH Regional Medical
Center in Tuscaloosa, Al to Alfred and Florence Fisher. He was a member of Gordo First
Baptist Church. Celebration of life will be on Friday July 26, 2024 at Gordo First Baptist
Church at 2pm and visitation at 1pm. He was preceded in death by his parents Alfred and
Florence Fisher, brother Danny Fisher, his daughter Danielle Elizabeth Fisher,
grandchildren Evie Fisher and Crimson Eddie Fisher. Eddie is survived by his wife of 34
years Elizabeth "Beth" Fisher. Three sons Joseph (Amanda) Marlowe, Jamie (Jennifer)
Fisher, Matthew (Tia) Fisher. One daughter Andea (RJ) Black. One sister Gayle (Bobby)
McFerrin. His grandchildren Taylor Fisher, Jesslyn (Bailey) Stephens, Kyson Richardson,
Ava Fisher, Rilynn (Skylar) Barrett, Kay-Lee (Drake) Smith, Ronnie Joe Black lll,
Gabriella Danielle Fisher and Daniel Levi Fisher. Four great-grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews. He graduated Gordo High School in 1972 and joined the United
States Air Force in 1973 where he was a weapons mechanic. He was a member of Iron
Workers Local 92 where he worked for numerous construction companies in and out of
state providing for his family and giving them the best life he could. He enjoyed fishing,
spending time with family and loved all Alabama sports. He was a quite soul until
karaoke started and then "Soul Man" would put on a show. Everyone he met loved him
and he touched so many lives here on this earth. He will be missed by so many. A Son,
Husband, Father, Granddaddy, Brother, Uncle and Friend. The family would like to give a
special thanks to Dr. Prestley and his staff, Amedisys Home Health and Hospice, and a
extra special thanks to Lauren Kizziah.
