Tayson "Tay" Lee Foltz, an extraordinary 18-year-old from Greensburg, left a lasting legacy of hope and resilience, empowering countless individuals to strive for a better future before his passing on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025. Born on Sept. 1, 2007, at Westmoreland Hospital, Tayson was the beloved child of Jeremy Foltz (father) and Jessica Werner (mother) and big brother to Carver Foltz. He will be remembered with deep love by Nicola Campbell (stepmother); Jason Werner (stepfather); Yasmine Campbell (stepsister); Madyson Campbell-Grendys (stepsister) and her husband, Evan Grendys; Kenneth Foltz (paternal grandfather); Le Foltz (paternal grandmother); William Salomon Jr. (maternal grandfather); Stacy Salomon (maternal grandmother); Brian Foltz (uncle); and Nina Eltringham (aunt), who will continue to honor his remarkable kindness, unwavering optimism, free spirit, and creativity. Tayson also will be known for his humor, open mind, and unique sense of style always remembered for his fedora hat. Tayson's passion for art, music, and poetry shone brightly through his participation in the Franklin High School Marching Band (drumline) and Pole-Vaulting team, and he left a lasting impact that will inspire generations to come. As much as he inspired others with his creativity and self-expression, he was equally treasured for his fierce loyalty and support as a friend. Well-liked by everyone, Tayson had a gift for lighting up every room he walked in. His playful and adventurous nature shone through on family trips, including a memorable two-week camping trip out west with his grandparents and brother Carver. At home, he loved playing video games and "rough-housing" with Carver, serving as both a role model and best friend to his younger brother. A vibrant soul who touched countless hearts, Tayson's memory will forever live on, motivating others to carry on his inspiring impact, fostering a ripple effect of kindness that will continue to spread. A service will be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at Murrysville Alliance Church, 4130 Old William Penn Highway, Murrysville, PA 15668, where family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and love. A reception will be held from 10 a.m. to noon with a memorial service at noon.
