Edith Anderson-Schroeder, age 88, of Two Rivers, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Sylvan Crossing in Manitowoc. Edie was born on July 4, 1936, to the late Sam and Julia (Chaloupka) Mott in rural Mishicot and attended Mishicot High School. She started her employment history in the office of Mirro. She met and married Paul Anderson in 1957 and made their home in Two Rivers. They were involved as owners of Choice Realty and later Anderson Real Estate. They started Seagull Marina. They had five children. Paul died in 1977, and Edith raised the five minor children. She married Dale Schroeder in 1998. Edith was the first woman to be a member of the Two Rivers Kiwanis. She was also recognized as Realtor of the Year in 1984 for Manitowoc County. In her free time, she loved working outside, making firewood and cleaning up the yard.
Edie is survived by her husband, Dale Schroeder; her children, Mark D. (Diane) Anderson of Two Rivers, Kent D. (Dana) Anderson of Two Rivers, Julie (Wayne) Peters of Florida, Scott D. (Holly) Anderson of Two Rivers, and Amy (Doug) MacMillin of Two Rivers. Her step-children: Sylvie (Todd) Shebesta of Francis Creek, Pascal (Sharol) Schroeder of Manitowoc, Christine Braun of Manitowoc, and Karen (special friend Ken Lemberger) Schroeder of Manitowoc. Grandchildren, Thomas D. (Elizabeth) Anderson of Manitowoc, Kimberly (Chris) Cremeans of Florida, Elise (Ryan) Kiel of Two Rivers, Beau D. (Jennifer) Anderson of Ledgeview, Weston (Kaitlin) Peters of Florida, Montana Anderson of Two Rivers, Mattie Anderson of Two Rivers, Sam MacMillin of North Dakota, Clayton MacMillin of Two Rivers, Henry MacMillin of Two Rivers and Brent Peters of Manitowoc; and great-grandchildren: Vincent Cremeans of Florida, Leonidas Cremeans of Florida, Sloan Kiel of Two Rivers, Rhett Kiel of Two Rivers, Olivia Anderson of Ledgeview, and Estelle Anderson of Two Rivers. As well as by nieces and nephews; and by good friend Gwen Hanson.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul Anderson; parents, Sam & Julia Mott; brothers, Alvin Mott and Robert Mott; and sisters, Lucille Robinson, Grace Novak, and Jennette Rezek.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon at Our Savior Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2140 34th St, Two Rivers, WI 54241. Funeral service will take place at 12:00 pm with Pastor Keith Tullberg officiating. Deja & Martin Funeral Chapels of Two Rivers is assisting the family with arrangements.
