Remembering Edith (Nana) Hinson, aged 86, of White Stone, VA, who peacefully passed away on July 18, 2025. Edith was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, recognized for her kindness and strength.
Edith was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Aubury Hinson, and her dear son, Ronald Herrera. She is survived by her loving daughters, Bonnie Barnes (Wayne) and Gaile Delbaugh (John); sons, Paul Herrera (Mary) and Mark Herrera (Grace). She was loved dearly by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and surrounded by a host of family and friends who will miss her deeply.
Known affectionately as "Nana" to her grandchildren, "Aunt Edie" to her nieces and nephews, and lovingly nicknamed "Doots" by her brothers and sisters, her presence brought laughter to all who knew her. As a small business owner, she was a strong advocate for women-owned enterprises. She had a passion for cooking, loved tending to her garden, and later discovered the joy of painting, which became a source of peace and inspiration for her.
A graveside service honoring Edith's life will take place at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at White Stone Methodist Church, located at 118 Methodist Church Rd, White Stone, VA. The ceremony will be hosted by Currie Funeral Home. (CurrieFuneralHome.Net)
Mom will always hold a special place in our hearts, cherished for her love, strength, and the wonderful memories we created together. Forever in our hearts, rest peacefully, dear mother.
