Edma nació el 27 de noviembre de 1937 en San Pedro, Jalisco, Mexico a sus padres Trinidad Chavoya Hernandez y Maria de Refugio Montaño Medina. Era una mujer humilde que disfrutaba viendo películas clásicas de romance y comedia.
A Edma la sobrevive sus hermanas Sara Chavoya y Amelia Chavoya y sus sobrinos.
Ella es precedida en la muerte por sus padres y sus hermanos Pedro y Trino y sus hermanas Maria Luisa y Rita.
Se llevará a cabo una visitación el lunes 7 de julio de 2025 en Ave Maria Memorial Chapel de 5 p.m. a 9 p.m. A las 7 p.m. comenzará un rosario. El martes 8 de julio de 2025, a las 11 a.m., se celebrará una misa en la iglesia Maria Auxiliadora. Un entierro seguirá inmediatamente después en Valley Public Cemetery.
Watsonville resident Edma Chavoya passed away Wednesday June 18, 2025 at 87 years old.
Edma was born November 27, 1937 in San Pedro, Jalisco, Mexico to her parents Trinidad Chavoya Hernandez and Maria de Refugio Montano Medina. She was a quiet and humble woman and enjoyed watching classic romance and comedy movies.
She is survived by her sisters Sara Chavoya and Amelia Chavoya and her nieces and nephews.
Edma is preceded in death by her parents and siblings Pedro, Trino, Maria Luisa and Rita.
There will be a vigil held for Edma Chavoya on Monday July 7th, 2025, at 5PM, followed by a Rosary at 7PM at Ave Maria Memorial Chapel. A mass will be dedicated to her Tuesday July 8th, 2025, at 11AM at Our Lady Help of Christians Church, then a burial service immediately after at Valley Public Cemetery.
