Edna Earl Crabtree Jackson, age 94, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025 in Alice, TX.
She was born on October 29, 1930 in Kinston, AL to her late parents, Irene and Elzer and Crabtree.
Edna is survived by her sons, Alan C Jackson (Joyce) of Robstown, TX, and Kevin R Covalt (Meg); daughter, Jackie V Hadden of Pensacola, FL; sisters, Thelma Savell of Pensacola, FL and Velma Moore (Mac) of Elba, AL; nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews which she loved and cherished. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Louis Jackson; daughter, Diane Judith Jackson; sister, Evelyne Crabtree Elder; brothers, Junior Cecil Crabtree, Thomas Junior Crabtree, and Dewey Edward Crabtree; and two brothers-in-law, Dee Elder and Prentiss Savell (Uncle Prent).
Funeral services for Edna Earl Crabtree Jackson will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 10, 2025 from Wyatt Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Rhoades Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Bro. Dale Patterson will be officiating. Bro. Deon Hawkins will be assisting as he was her Pastor and Sunday School Teacher for years at East Brent Baptist Church Pensacola, Florida. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Edna's fulfilled life.
Flowers will be accepted, or memorials may be made for the care of the cemetery to: Rhoades Cemetery Fund, c/o LeJune Davis 334/208-6059, 3044 Hwy 189 Kinston, AL 36453.
