Edward Rolland Ackerman, age 93, passed away on June 12, 2025. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 10:30 am at St. Luke Lutheran Church, Wishek. Burial will take place at St. Luke Cemetery. A livestream of Edward's funeral service will be available on the St. Luke Wishek YouTube page.
Edward was born August 15, 1931, to Edward and Martha (Sayler) Ackerman and was the 4th of 6 children. He grew up on the Ackerman Family Farm five miles north of Wishek. He married Marcella Kaseman on January 20, 1957, and were blessed with three sons and raised them on their farm south of Wishek. Throughout his time, he enjoyed riding and working with horses, being a farmer and most importantly raising cattle.
Edward is survived by Marcella, his wife of 68 years; three sons, Ronald, Douglasville, GA, Jeffery, Brentwood, TN and James (Laurie), Smithville, TN; grandchildren, Danylle, Jayme (Mindy), Brent (Kera) and Mark (Cassie); great grandchildren, Tatum, Mason Emma and Eleanor "Ellie". He is also survived by his sister, Ida Quatier, Sioux Falls, SD and brother, Donald (Arlys) Ackerman, Wishek, ND; sisters-in-law, Delores Janke, Wishek, ND, Darlene Miller, Apple Valley, MN and Sheryl (Bradley) Brandner, Wishek, ND, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elmer, Oscar and Harold Ackerman; in-laws, Albert and Emma Kaseman; several brothers and sisters-in-law; and nieces and nephews of the Ackerman and Kaseman Families.
