Edward Gallaher Obituary

Edward Joseph Gallaher III, born September 19, 1935, in Asheville, NC, died July 1, 2025, in Sneads Ferry, NC. A Georgetown University graduate and Naval Officer, he served in the Navy and Office of Naval Intelligence until retiring in 1996, also a 35-year Naval Reservist. He was active in Catholic churches in Vienna, VA, and Sneads Ferry, NC. Predeceased by grandson Kyle, he is survived by his wife, Mary Anne (Bunky), six children, 17 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass at Infant of Prague Catholic Church, Jacksonville, NC. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery. Donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Bedosky Scholarship Fund at St. Bonaventure University.
