Funeral service will be 2:00 pm Friday, August 1, 2025 at Adams EE Stringer Funeral Home in Buna with burial at Morse Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 Thursday at the funeral home.
Sonny was born March 23, 1938 in Port Arthur, Texas to E.C. Glidden, Jr. and Mary (Stephens) Glidden, he had lived in Buna since 1968 and was a retired pipefitter with Pipefitters Local 195. He was a United States Marine Corps Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Deanna Glidden of Buna; children, Susan Imhoff of Missouri; Danny Glidden and wife Diana of Bridge City; Keith Glidden and wife Karen of Beaumont; and Kimberly Battaglia and husband Daniel of Denham Springs, LA; 7 grandchildren, Courtney Glidden, Caitilyn Glidden, Kolin Glidden and wife Gaby, Kevin Glidden, Elyssa Payne and husband Colby, Kadynn Germain, and Nicholas Battaglia; and 2 great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters, son, Gordon Glidden, and a grandson Mason Imhoff.
