Edward G. Shrout, 73, of English, Indiana died on July 2, 2025 at Harrison Healthcare in Corydon, Indiana. Edward was born on October 19, 1951 in New Albany, Indiana to the late Samuel Shrout and Evelyn Schuley Lambert.

He was a former employee of Tyson Foods and was a U.S. National Guard Veteran. He enjoyed rebuilding old cars, attending car shows, and was quite the airbrush painter. He loved rabbit and squirrel hunting, as well.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Timothy Shrout and a sister, Linda Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Karen L. Shrout; son, Eddie Shrout Jr.; step-sons, Shane Hicks (Mary) and Michael Hicks; daughters, Chrissy Shrout and Danielle Morain; step-daughter, Kristy Parr Hicks (Jerry); sister, Becky Reeder (Jack); grandchildren, Haven Walker, Tyler Brown, Jackson Shrout, Samuel Shrout, Jacob Shrout, Skyley Hicks, and Jaylee Hicks; and 2 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home in Milltown, Indiana.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 5, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m., at the funeral home.

Bro. Chris Combs will officiate the service.

Memorial contributions may be given to Kosair Charities, P.O. Box 950136, Louisville, Kentucky 40295-0136.
