Edwin Jessie (EJ) Parnell, 74, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday morning, March 9th, 2025, while at his residence.
At the request of Mr. Parnell, there will be no formal service. Please keep his family in your prayers in the days to come.
Mr. Parnell was born in Lamar, a son of the late Edwin J. Parnell and Gertrude Morrell Parnell. He was a member of Christian Pathway Fellowship Church and was retired from DuPont after 30 years of service. The family would like to thank his Golf-Cart Buddies, Steve, Raymond, Lee, Jessie and Marty for their friendship. Mr. Parnell served his Country well in the U.S. Army. The family would also like to thank the nurses at Fresenius Dialysis in Darlington and McLeod Hospice for their love and help with Mr. Parnell.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 55 years, Mrs. Nancy Conyers Parnell; three sons, Keith (Rhonda) Parnell, Chris Parnell and Jason (Melaine) Parnell; three grandsons, Gage (Haley) Parnell, Gavin Parnell and Eli Parnell; two great grandsons, Easton and Kayson; one sister, Janice (Lynn) Sims, Sardis, S.C.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Bobby Parnell.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Christian Pathway Fellowship Church, P.O. Box 757, Lamar, S.C. 29069.
