Edwin D. Pearson age 72 years of Monroeville passed away on Thursday July 24, 2025 in his home. Ed was born in Woodbury, raised in Westville and was a graduate of Gateway High School. He then attended Gloucester County College. Ed worked as sales manager for J.E. Berkowitz in Westville until his retirement. He joined DeMolay when he was thirteen and later joined Clarksboro Masonic Lodge #87 F. & A.M.; also holding a dual membership with Mantua Masonic Lodge #95 F. & A.M. He was a proud member of the N.R.A., member of the Elk Township Republican Club, Cook for twenty years for the Elk Township Senior Citizens Club, past president of Aura Elementary School Board and a member of American Collectors Car Club. Ed was devoted to his community, volunteering to assist other families with special needs children and any community member who needed help. In his free time he enjoyed fishing, hunting and collecting car memorabilia. He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 49 years, Barbara Pearson (nee Ridinger) and his daughter, Erica Pearson, both of Monroeville. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Richard Edwin and Helen Edith Pearson. The Funeral Service will be held at 11 AM Friday August 1, 2025 in the McBride – Foley Funeral Home, 228 West Broad Street, Paulsboro. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Friday morning after 10 AM until service time. Clarksboro Lodge will conduct Masonic services at 10:30 AM. Interment Eglington Cemetery, Clarksboro. Contributions can be made to Williams Syndrome Association, 243 Broadway #9188, Newark, NJ 07104. Memories can be shared at www.mcbridefoleyfh.com.
