Dee Anderson passed away May 9th, 2024. Dee was born on May 16th, 1928, to Irene Mitchell and Ned Lewis Edwards. Shewas married to Andy Anderson on March 11, 1944, in Farmersville.
Dee was preceded in death by her husband, her daughter Sharon Johnson, and two brothers, Carl and LJ Edwards. She is survived by her two sisters, Joy Thompson and Ann McClanahan, her daughter Charlsa Anderson, grandsons Jason Rowan, Greg Rowan, and Andy Sirles, and two great-grandchildren, Eli and Makenna Rowan.
A lover of the outdoors, she spent much of her lifetime working with her husband in the plumbing business and she also worked for the Canton Independent School District. They lived in Canton for 20 years, where they enjoyed tending to their expansive garden, and occasionally vacationing in Colorado. Upon retirement, she spent much of her time caring for othersand rooting for her Texas Rangers. She was a kind, brave, resilient, and selfless, lover of life. Dee was a member of Pruitt Baptist Church in Van, Texas.
A memorial will be held at Williams Funeral Home in Garland, Texas on Thursday, March 14th at 2:30pm. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 14th from 1:30-2:30pm.
