Eleuterio "El" Pérez Becerra

February 20, 1941 – July 25, 2025

With deep love and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Eleuterio Pérez Becerra, affectionately known as "El" and "La Mula," who departed this life on July 25, 2025, in Lakeport, California, surrounded by his beloved family. He was 84 years old.

Eleuterio was born on February 20, 1941, in Dinamita, Durango, Mexico, to Alfredo Pérez Muñoz and Rosa Becerra Garcia. He spent his early years in La Jabonera, Zacatecas before moving to Guadalajara, Jalisco as a teenager, where he met his future wife and began the next chapter of his life.

In 1960, he married Felicitas Ramirez Sandoval. Following the birth of their first child, guided by faith and hope for a better future, they made the heartfelt decision to immigrate to the United States in pursuit of greater opportunities for their family. They traveled from Guadalajara, Jalisco to Tijuana, Baja California, where they remained while awaiting approval of their U.S. immigration status. Once their legal residency was granted, he traveled with his wife and eldest child to Kelseyville, California, where they planted roots, grew their family, and built a life filled with love, hard work, and enduring faith.

Eleuterio is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Felicitas Ramirez Pérez and seven children, Lydia Villalobos, Martha Huerta (Juan), Maria del Carmen Gonsalez (Martin), Rosa Pérez, Gloria Martinez (Luis), Jose Pérez (Melinda), and Dr. Josefina Dominguez (Brandon). Together, they created a large and loving family. He was a proud grandfather to 21 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren, who were the joy of his life.

Eleuterio is also survived by his sister, Cirila Guerrero. He was predeceased by his parents, Alfredo Pérez Muñoz and Rosa Becerra Garcia, and siblings, Matilde Mejia, Esperanza Gallegos, and Socorro Pérez.

A lifelong worker and entrepreneur, Eleuterio spent many years in agriculture and construction before founding two beloved local businesses, El Guadalajara Restaurant and Billar El Campesino. Both served as community gathering places and stood as testaments to his entrepreneurial spirit.

Eleuterio also had a deep commitment to uplifting others. He was a Spanish-language radio host at a local station, a member of the Kelseyville Lions Club, and a founding member of the Finley Hispanic Lions Club. He represented CHDC for Lake County and collaborated with organizations such as the Red Cross and Mexicanos Unidos to organize entertainment, outreach, and community-building events for the Latino community.

A proud promoter of sports and unity, he founded Las Chivas soccer team and El Guadalajara pool table team, bringing people together through friendly competition and cultural pride.

Eleuterio's life will be honored at the following services:

Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Lakes in Lakeport on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, with Rosary at 6:00 PM.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary Immaculate Church in Lakeport on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 11:00 AM with interment to follow at Kelseyville Cemetery.

Eleuterio's strength, generosity, and dedication to family and community will never be forgotten. His legacy lives on in every life he touched and the foundations he helped build.
