Elisabeth "Fran" Furth (née Stringfellow) passed away on July 4, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on February 15, 1952, in Regensburg, Germany, she was the beloved daughter of Mason Stringfellow and Elizabeth Stringfellow (née Brukelmeier).
Fran was the devoted wife of Robert Furth and the loving mother of Robert Furth (Kasey). She was affectionately known as "Oma" to her cherished grandchildren: Emily, Rhyan, and Karli. She is also survived by her dear siblings: Ann Taylor, Mason Stringfellow (Trish), Sylvia Mashaw, Cecelia Hoffman, and Joseph Stringfellow (Christine); and her nephew, Brendon Stringfellow.
A proud graduate of the Willingboro High School Class of 1970, Fran went on to earn her bachelor's degree in psychology from Rutgers University. She met her husband Robert in a most memorable way-he was working as a police officer when he noticed Fran sitting in the passenger seat of a car, her leg in a cast hanging out of the window-a fitting introduction to someone as unique and spirited as Fran.
Fran had a heart for service and a passion for life. She was an avid gardener and a devoted volunteer at Corpus Christi Church in Willingboro, NJ. She approached everything she did with determination and love, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
A gathering of friends will be held at Corpus Christi Church from 9:30-10:45 with a funeral mass to follow at 11:00am. Burial to follow at the Brigadier Wm. C. Doyle Veterans cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Fran's memory may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or a charity of your choice.
