Beth Cuddy passed away on Friday July 11, 2025, at her home in Somerset. She was forty years old.
Beth was born in New Brunswick and was a lifetime resident of Franklin Township. She graduated from St. Matthias grammar school in Somerset and made all of her initiation sacraments at St. Matthias Church. She graduated from Immaculata High School in Somerville where she excelled at softball. She continued her education, with a full scholarship at William Paterson University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and graduated with honors.
Upon her graduation, Beth began her career in the fashion industry and her artistic side shined brightly. She held positions with Calvin Klein, Rachel Roy and other fashion brands prior to her current position with Macy's Corporate in Manhattan where she was a Sourcing Operations Associate.
Beth and her family have a deep connection with the Middlebush Volunteer Fire Department in Franklin Township. Her parents, Bob and Dawn are longtime members and Beth was in and around the firehouse her entire life. She was a Life Member of the Middlebush Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and very proud of that. Her bright smile will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She literally lit up any room she entered with that smile and always made sure to hug everyone.
In her free time she was an artist- she had every paint, marker and sparkle known to man, gardener- tending to her beautiful yellow rosebush - Iridessi and her spider plant- Spike. Everything had to have a name, she even named her parents fish. She was a ruthless gamer, known as "The Original Pirate Ninja" to her friends, online and off, preferring Call of Duty, as her game of choice and most of all, she loved spending down time with her cat BB.
She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, John and Zella Cuddy and her maternal grandparents Nicholas and Gloria DiLieto and her Uncle Butch (James) Franklin, cousins Tanager Ricci and Kathie Bannister Gaul.
Beth is survived by her parents, Bob and Dawn Cuddy of the Middlebush section of Franklin Township. She is also survived by her brother Rob Cuddy of Middlebush, her Aunt Karen and Uncle Bull (Bill) Bannister, her Godparents- Uncle Nicky and Aunt Kathy DiLieto, Aunt Kathy Franklin, her many cousins, Vickie Bannister Malinowski and husband Joe, Billy Bannister, Jr. and wife Kristen, Nicholas DiLieto III and wife Ciara, Toni Bannister and partner Milton and Matt DiLieto- her fellow artist and his girlfriend Ari. She is also survived by her best friends Mikey Glodek and Bridget Skeuse, her longtime boyfriend Anthony Stivalo, numerous friends and her Middlebush Volunteer Fire Department family.
Visiting will take place on Wednesday, July 16 from 4-8 PM at the Gleason Funeral Home, 1360 Hamilton Street in Somerset. Services will begin on Thursday, July 17 at 9 AM at the funeral home followed by a 10 AM funeral mass at St. Matthias R.C. Church in Somerset. Graveside services will follow mass at Cedar Grove Cemetery on Amwell Road in Middlebush. Please consider a contribution in Beth's name to your favorite charity.

I met you under the name PirateNinja, about 7 years ago. Not a week went by without hearing your voice. I met you as a gaming buddy, but or friendship grew into a family. I pray you are watching over us and maybe you have powers now where you can help me with my KDR lol
Ms. Sweet Beth, I really wish I would have made it out there to meet you in person. You will be missed so very much. Beep Boop Mate! Love you sweet woman!
