Elizabeth "Liza" Mutete Kaunda, 46, a resident of Grand Prairie, Texas, departed from this world on July 10, 2025.

Born on February 10, 1979, in Nairobi, Kenya, she was the treasured daughter of Mr. Thomas Kaunda Musunza and Mrs. Monica Mueni Kaunda. Her legacy lives on through her devoted daughter, her mother, Monica Kaunda; her grandmother, Lois Nguku; her sisters, Rachel Munguti and Katherine Kamene; her stepbrother, Lorenzo Chavez; her nephews, Paul, Charles, and her niece Monica, along with a vast network of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends both in the United States and Kenya. She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Musunza, her stepmother, Ruby Musunza, and her half-sister, Mercedes Kaunda.

The memory of Liza will eternally serve as a beacon of love and inspiration for all who had the honor of knowing her. Her lively spirit and generosity of heart impacted countless lives, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to share moments with her. As we contemplate her life, we rejoice in the happiness she infused into our existence.

In our hearts, she will forever reside... eternally adored... and deeply missed.
