Elizabeth L. Wheeler, (nee Weidenmiller) passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on May 17, 1936, in Philadelphia, PA, of Marlton, NJ. Loving daughter of the late Russell Weidenmiller and Mildred Weidenmiller (nee Curry).

Family was the cornerstone of Betty's life. She was a loving wife to her late husband, Charles Richard Wheeler, and a devoted mother to Betty Jane Cianciarulo (Fran) and Jean Wheeler. Her legacy continued through her grandchildren, Anthony Cianciarulo (Gretchen) and Frank Cianciarulo (Tina), and her great-granddaughter, Selena, who all brought immense joy to her life.

Betty was the cherished sister of the late Mildred Johanson (Joseph), Russell Weidenmiller (Helen), Fred Weidenmiller (Margaret), and Irvin Weidenmiller (Frances). She was also preceded in death by her sister-in-laws, Helen Tewell (Fred) and Doris Connolly (Greg). She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Jean Miller (Hugh) and Larry Wheeler (Bettie), who will continue to honor her memory as well as the many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Betty grew up in the Harrowgate section of Philadelphia and was a proud graduate of Mastbaum High School, class of 1954. Her early career saw her brightening the days of customers at Lit Brothers department store, where her quick wit and warm personality were a perfect fit. In 1955, Betty's life took a beautiful turn when she met Charles Richard Wheeler. The two quickly fell in love and were married within the same year, beginning a journey together that would be filled with shared dreams and cherished moments. Always by his side, Betty helped her husband with the family business, Wheeler Funeral Home in Philadelphia, PA.

Throughout her life, Betty was a devout Christian, living her faith through acts of kindness and a heart that knew no bounds. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, from cheering on her beloved Philadelphia Phillies to savoring the salty air during her frequent visits to Avalon, NJ. Betty's love for the beach was only matched by her passion for hard shell crabs and lobster tails, which she enjoyed in the company of family and friends.

An avid shopper, Betty delighted in finding the perfect gifts for her loved ones, a testament to her thoughtful nature. Her home was a haven for many cherished animals over the years, with her cat Charlie holding a special place in her heart. Betty's adventurous spirit shone through her enjoyment of ferry rides, and her love for the outdoors was evident in her enthusiasm for hunting and fishing.

Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Friday July 18th from 6-8 PM and Saturday July 19th from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Bradley Funeral Home, 601 Rt.73 South, Marlton, NJ 08053. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 AM Saturday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, 100 Willow Bend Rd., Marlton, NJ. Interment Oakland Cemetery, Philadelphia, PA.
