Ella Mae Eby, 85, of Ephrata, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving sons and sister on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at her residence.
She was born in East Earl Township to the late David and Anna (Weaver) Brubaker and was the wife of the late John C. Eby, who entered heaven in 2008.
She was a member of Indiantown Mennonite Church, where she taught Sunday School, served on numerous committees, and encouraged people of all generations Ella Mae worked as a laundry worker for Landis Homes. She enjoyed delivering clean clothes and visiting with the residents.
Ella Mae was always smiling and loved people. She enjoyed playing games, going out for breakfast, and attending Christian concerts with her friends. She also encouraged many people with phone calls. Ella Mae also volunteered for Woodcrest Retreat and MCC. She tried to show the love of Jesus to anyone she met.
Ella Mae is survived by two sons, David B. Eby, and Darvin B. Eby; a brother, Luke, husband of Roxie Brubaker and a sister, Nancy Brubaker.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl Brubaker, David Brubaker and a sister, Susan Sensenig.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, July 3, 2025, from 9 to 11 AM, at Indiantown Mennonite Church, 255 Indiantown Road, Ephrata, followed by her funeral service, at 11:00 AM, with Pastor Nelson Zeiset officiating. Interment will take place in the adjoining church cemetery.
