Ellen Louise Adams Brewer, a beloved member of her community, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born on September 20, 1953, in Hyden, Kentucky, to Theo Adams and Lula Baker, who welcomed her into this world with love.
Ellen was a friendly and outgoing individual whose warmth touched the hearts of everyone she met. She completed her education through the 8th grade and dedicated a significant part of her life to her career as a former employee of FNS. Her proudest accomplishments included being a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Ellen found immense joy in her family, cherishing the time spent with her loved ones. She enjoyed 4-wheeling, watching soap operas, and creating lasting memories with her family, all of which brought her great happiness.
Ellen is survived by her loving son, Steve Adams, and her special daughter-in-law, Tammy Jean Adams. She is also remembered fondly by her brothers, Troy Adams and Wesley Adams (Betty), and her sisters, Clearsie Spencer and Lela Miller. Ellen leaves behind three cherished grandchildren: Nicholas Curtis Adams, Brooklyn Stidham, and Courtney Howard, who will forever hold her in their hearts. She is also survived by her special furry companion, Duke.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Brewer; her daughter, Linda Howard; her son-in-law, Jonathan Howard; her parents; and several siblings, including Carlos, Johnny, Curt, and Essie Faye Adams, Coy Adams, Freeman Adams, and Marie Adams.
Ellen’s life will be honored with a visitation on October 8, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Walker Funeral Homes in Hyden, KY. A funeral service will be held the following day, October 9, 2025, at 12:00 PM, also at Walker Funeral Homes.
Her legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Funeral: October 9, 2025 at 12 noon, at the Dwayne Walker Funeral Home - Hyden, KY
Interment: Adams Cemetery - Wooton, KY
