Ellen Berneice Shaw, 83, of Muskogee, Oklahoma, went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2025, in Muskogee. She was born on January 10, 1942, to Lloyd Truman Roberts and Ellen Elizabeth Roberts.

Ellen lived a life marked by faith, kindness, and devotion to her family. She never complained, never spoke ill of others, and was known for the beautiful smile that brightened the lives of those around her.

On August 12, 1962, Ellen married the love of her life, Tony Shaw, and together they built a life of love and family in Muskogee. She was a faithful and supportive wife, a nurturing mother, and a proud grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved sewing and created countless outfits for her children through the years. Gifted with a rich alto voice, she was often called upon to sing solos at weddings and other special occasions.

Ellen also enjoyed cooking, and her desserts-especially her famous spicy pecan cheese logs-were a holiday favorite. She found joy in gardening, filling her home with beds of vibrant flowers, especially irises. Most of all, she treasured her time with family, always bringing warmth, encouragement, and love to every gathering.

Ellen shared her faith in Christ through a lifetime of service, teaching children in church settings and leaving an eternal impact on countless lives. Professionally, she worked with dedication and joy as a legal secretary for attorney Edward Gage for more than 30 years. She cherished not only her work but also the friendships she made with her coworkers, both in the office and in fellowship beyond it.

Ellen is survived by her husband, Tony Shaw of Muskogee; son, Tery Shaw and wife Joy of Coweta; daughter, Robin McCaig and husband Shawn of Muskogee; grandchildren: Kayla DuPriest and husband Aaron of Fort Gibson, Colton Fears and wife Summer of Broken Arrow, Madelyn Shaw and fiancé Spencer Franklin of Carrollton, TX, Katheryn Shaw and husband Nathan Livesay of Stillwater, and Jamee Fears of Fort Gibson; great-grandchildren: Keaton, Asher, and Holden DuPriest of Fort Gibson; brother, Jerry Roberts of Spokane, WA; brother- and sister-in-law, Roger and Judy Shaw of Ripley; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and coworkers who loved her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd and Ellen Roberts; stepfather, Ellis Roberts; brother, Lloyd Ray Roberts; sister and brother-in-law, Esther and Duane Roever; sister-in-law, Glenda Roberts; and father- and mother-in-law, Glenn and Ada Shaw.
