ELLIS EUGENE OSBORNE, 83, of Grundy, VA, passed away Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at his home following an extended illness. Born in Dorton, KY, he was the son of the late Troy and Sarah Margaret (Caudill) Osborne. He was a longtime resident of Buchanan County and was of the Christian faith. Ellis served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and was a former paver for Maymeade Construction.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, James Harlan White; and several brothers and sisters.
Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 36-years, Linda Sue (Quinley) White Osborne of Grundy, VA; Sons: Danny (Cathy) White of Neon, KY, Robert White of Lincoln, NE; Daughters: April (Lawrence) Wallace of Louisville, OH, and Tina (Charles) Layne of Grandy, NC; Grandchildren: Jeremy Wayne White, Ryan Cory White, Karen White, Dillon White, Nikki White, Jason Keith Elkins, Tiffany LeeAnn Carpenter, Justin Kyle Elkins, Charlie Layne and Whitney White.
Also, survived by several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at the Grundy Funeral Home Chapel Thursday evening at 6:00 P.M. with services at 7:00 P.M.
Graveside Services for ELLIS EUGENE OSBORNE will be conducted Friday, July 4, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at Mountain Valley Memorial Park, Big Rock, VA, with Pastor Adam Farmer and full military rites by members of Childs-Gentry Post No. 7360 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and John Ratliff Post No. 164 of the American Legion.
Active Pallbearers will be family and friends.
