Elodie "Tammy" Desiato, age 69, unexpectedly passed away on July 7th at her home in Louisville, Ohio.
Born and raised in Louisville, Tammy was the daughter of the late Raymond and Mildred Rebillot. She was a devoted wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, beloved sister, and cherished friend.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Paul Desiato; her daughter Angela (Cory) Crain of Austin, Texas, and her son Anthony (Megan) Desiato of Louisville, Ohio; and her five grandchildren: Sophia, Oscar, Storm, Stone, and Nolan-each a bright light in her life.
Tammy is also survived by her siblings: her sister Judy Getz and husband Ron Getz, her sister Rita Fernandez and husband Jack Fernandez, and her brother Dan Rebillot and his wife Judy Rebillot.
Tammy spent many years nurturing young minds with her gentle heart and vibrant spirit. She worked at Fairhope Preschool and Dueber Elementary School, where her compassion and warmth made a lasting impact on the lives of her students and colleagues. After retiring in 2005, she found great joy in traveling with Paul and their close friends, especially to sunny beaches that reflected her warmth. Summers at her home were filled with love and laughter, where she hosted pool parties that became treasured family traditions.
She also served for many years as secretary of the Louisville Leopard Touchdown Club, a role she embraced wholeheartedly. Tammy and Paul enjoyed being active members of the club together and built lifelong friendships with others who shared their passion for local football and community spirit.
A devoted sports fan, Tammy proudly cheered for the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians, embracing every game with energy and loyalty.
In accordance with her wishes, there will be no formal services or calling hours. Her family will honor her memory with a celebration of life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Stark County Humane Society, the Ohio Gators Baseball Club, or the Louisville Leopard Touchdown Club-organizations that reflect Tammy's love for animals, community, and the people who enriched her life.
Tammy will be remembered for her kindness, her love of family, and the joy she brought to every gathering. She truly loved a life full of meaning, and she will be deeply missed.
