Emily Pressnall Obituary

Emily Jean Pressnall was born February 10th, 1946, in Stanley, ND to Russell and Anna (Sandberg) Moe. She passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday July 1, 2025 at Tioga Medical Center at the age of 79.
Emily grew up on Dixon St. "Moe Valley" in Tioga through her adolescent and teen years, it is also where she met the love of her life Max Pressnall. They were married July 1, 1964, in Williston, ND. Emily and Max had Raymond Pressnall in 1965 and soon followed Richard in 1966. They completed their family with their little girl Clara Jean in 1968. Emily was a wonderful mom, and she stayed at home to raise her children until they graduated high school.
Once her children were grown, Emily brought her talents and warm presence to the community cooking at local restaurants in Tioga eventually cooking for her daughter Clara at both the Homestyle and The Jungle. It was there that her passion for home cooking, laughter, and good company came to life. Her famous potato klub became a local favorite, and her joy in serving others was unmistakable. It became a family-run business-a place where Emily's legacy of hard work and hospitality continued. She enjoyed her time working alongside her daughter and grandchildren. She always set a good example to them of how to work hard.
Emily's heart was happiest when surrounded by her loved ones. Whether it was cheering on her grandchildren, tending to her vibrant flower beds, or preparing a meal for the family, she brought care and beauty into everything she did. Her yard was where she found peace and joy, though she never sat still for long. There was always something to tend to, and she wouldn't have had it any other way. Her most recent dream trip was to Ireland with family. There she got to see the beautiful countryside and drink their "terrible" coffee. She returned to her home and good coffee still on Dixon Street.
Emily was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Annie Moe, father and mother-in-law Raymond and Verna Pressnall, son Raymond Pressnall, sister Darlene Moe, brother David Moe, sister-in-law Vickie Schmidt, and brothers-in-law Allen and Skip Pressnall.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 61 years Max Pressnall; son, Richard Pressnall and his children, Chazlynn Brey, Myles Pressnall, and Kendra (Aaron) Kaiser; daughter Clara (JD) Moore and her children Kelcey (Adam) Lee, Brenna (Justin) Johnson, Erin (Michael) Guritz, and Colton Moore; brothers Billy Moe and Otto (Carma) Moe; sisters-in-law Audrey Ingraham, Mary Davidson, Judy (Harold) Weidmer, Susan (Earl) Syverson, and Dee Pressnall, brother-in-law Steve (Brenda) Pressnall; 12 great-grandchildren, and numerous family and friends.
