Enes C. Scardigno, 97 of Jackson Township, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on June 21, 2025. Enes was born November 14,1927 in Manhattan, New York to the late Andrea (Andrew) and Teresa Bovero. She was a loving wife, devoted mother and proud grandmother. She is best described as a strong willed and independent woman. Enes was known for being a great cook, a talented artist, and an avid reader as well as being fluent in English, Italian and French. She earned her Master's Degree in Art Therapy from Montclair State University and later became an art teacher in a Bergen County Catholic school. While raising her family she and her predeceased husband Giulio, lived in Fort Lee NJ, then relocated to Jackson Township where they enjoyed their retirement years together. Enes will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.
Enes is predeceased by her parents, Andrea (Andrew) Bovero; Teresa Bovero; husband Giulio Scardigno and brother, Tino Bovero.
Enes is survived by her son, Joseph Scardigno of Keansburg; daughter, Carole Hartley of Greenland, New Hampshire; grandchildren, Catherine Hartley and Cameron Hartley.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, from 1pm to 5pm at Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals DeBow Chapel, 150 West Veterans Hwy., Jackson. Committal Services will be held at 11am, Thursday, June 26, 2025, at St. Mary of the Lake Cemetery, Lakewood.
