Eric Schultz Obituary
CARBONDALE – Eric Schultz, 59, passed away on Sunday, January 19, 2025 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Eric was born on May 17, 1965 to Gerald and Linda (McDaniel) Schultz in Elmhurst. He married Patricia Anderson on October 7, 1994 in Wheaton, IL. She preceded him in death.
Eric is survived by his daughter, Chelsea Schmidt; son, Andrew Schultz; sisters, Laurel Schultz and Jennifer Reeves; Uncle, Kent (Dorothy) McDaniel; cousins, Loralys McDaniel, Paul McDaniel, Lida (Jared) Schenkier and their children, Atlas, Ravi and Shai.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister; Marta Schultz, and wife.
Eric had a passion for music throughout his life, playing in several bands and even hosting radio shows on a local radio station. Most remember him as the funny guy, always looking to play tricks or jokes on friends and family for a good laugh. He passed his love for video games, sci-fi and fantasy down to his children.
