Publish in a newspaper

Errol Schintz, 85 of Shakopee, formerly of Columbia Heights, passed away on Tuesday July 8th at 3am, his wife Pat and daughters Kat and Trish were with him. He is preceded in death by his son's Steve and Jeff, his sister Barb and his brother Gene as well as his parents.
Errol is survived by his wife Pat of 38 years. His children, Ron Schintz, Mark (Paula) Schintz, Kat Schintz-David, Mindy (Travis) Hamilton and Errol Schintz Jr. He is also survived by his step-children, Trish Anderson and Andrew (Janet) Nelson.
Errol was also a very proud grandfather to 23 grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren.
He grew up in St. Paul where he graduated from Wilson high school and joined the Navy thereafter. He retired from NSP after over 30 years of service. He loved his job and also found a love for cribbage while on the clock throughout his years of employment as a boiler engineer.
Errol was a devoted husband and loved his wife more than words could ever say. "I love you" was heard throughout the house several times a day. Over the years they danced together, traveled together, bowled together, sang karaoke together, and most importantly they laughed together. Even as they aged together, they coined the phrase "Chair Dancing" as they sat next to each other dancing away with a smile on their face.
He had an absolute unconditional love for his grandchildren. Any bit of time he could spend with them brought him such joy. His smile was genuine when he saw them because he was genuinely happy with each and every one of them.
Errol will be missed dearly by those closest to him. He had a very kind heart. His smile, his laugh and his love will never be forgotten.
Please join the family for a visitation at 10AM on Saturday July 19, with a funeral service at 11AM at Hillside Chapel 2610 19th Ave NE Minneapolis, MN 55418
A gathering will be held afterwards at the Twin Cities 400 Tavern 1330 Industrial Blvd NE Suite 400 Minneapolis MN 55413. Small appetizers will be provided, cash bar. www.Washburn-McReavy.com

I love you so much, grandpa. You were like a parent to me and my siblings growing up when my parents needed help taking care of us. You got us up every day, made us breakfast, and sent us off to school. You were such an inspiration to me not only to be a better person, but also to take care of my body! I will always remember your devotion to personal fitness and a disciplined routine! I loved being your granddaughter and learning more about the catholic faith from you. Your humor and positive attitude will live on in your grandchildren who you helped shape. I will always cherish the memories I have of you showing me how to feed the birds (and the squirrels!), and how to take care of the home. I will always remember you smiling and laughing (and trying to tickle me). You´re the best grandpa anyone could ask for. I thank the Lord for the time I was able to spend with you. I feel lucky to have had such a close relationship with you for as long as I did. I love you FOREVER. I pray that the Lord welcomes you into the comfort of his kingdom.
