Esther "Birdie" B. Law, age 88, of Anderson, Indiana, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2025, at The Waters of Chesterfield, surrounded by the love of her family and friends.
Born on April 25, 1937, in Wise, Virginia, Birdie was the beloved daughter of Lloyd and Minnie (Dotson) Greene. In 1955, she married the love of her life, Jackie Law, and together they shared 57 wonderful years until Jackie's passing in 2012.
Birdie had a deep love for nature; she found great joy in tending to her garden and watching the birds and butterflies that visited. She and Jackie shared many adventures together, including fishing whenever they could and spending weekends at the Strawtown flea market, where Jackie enjoyed selling his treasures. Their shared love for each other and for simple pleasures defined their beautiful life together.
Birdie's kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love for her family touched all who knew her. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered.
Birdie is survived by daughters, Tracy (Monty) Jones of Anderson, IN and Cathy Spear of Noblesville, IN; sister, Janet Cantrell; sister-in-love, Nancy Hoover; granddaughters, Jaime Jones, Jessica Spear, and Shelby (Alex) Jones-Maddox; grandsons, Elliot (Misty) Jones, Chase (Lacey) Comus; 8 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Birdie was preceded in death by husband, Jackie Law; parents, Lloyd and Minnie Greene; sister, Lillian Little; brothers, Jessie "Pete" Greene, Roy "Ed" Edward Greene, and Roger Greene.
In keeping with Birdie's wishes, there will be no services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, Anderson, Indiana.
