Ethan Juan McAllister, 18, of Levelland, Texas, formerly of Memphis, Texas, passed away on Sunday, July 20, 2025, in Levelland. Services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Memphis, Texas. Cremation and arrangements are under the care of Robertson Funeral Directors of Memphis, Texas. Ethan was born on April 5, 2007, in Childress, Texas to John Robert McAllister and Maria Daena Santos. He was a lifelong resident of Memphis before recently moving to Levelland. Ethan had dreams of becoming a bull rider and deeply admired Lane Frost, but later chose to pursue a career in welding. He also worked at the cotton gin and loved helping his grandpa on the farm. Known for his strong work ethic, Ethan was determined and always set out to accomplish whatever he put his mind to. He enjoyed tinkering with his trucks and was constantly working on DIY projects. He had a big personality-hard-headed, full of life, a storyteller, and known for his unforgettable smile. He had a knack for collecting things he called "junk" and proudly showed them off. He loved history, getting into playful mischief with his siblings, and making memories with those around him. Ethan never met a stranger-he made friends everywhere he went and always prioritized time with his family and loved ones. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gary McAllister. Ethan is survived by his mother, Daena Santos, and stepfather, Jose Flores of Memphis; his father, John McAllister of Memphis; his paternal grandmother, Sandy McAllister of Memphis; his maternal grandparents, Adolfo and Araceli Santos of Estelline; his brother, Astin McAllister of Memphis; his sister, Kaylaneth Mendoza and her spouse, Erik Jahay of Plainview; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
