Eugene Sparano Jr., a cherished soul and dedicated family man, passed away at the age of 64 on October 20, 2025, in Old Bridge, NJ. Born on September 20, 1961, in Brooklyn, NY to Renee and Eugene Sparano Sr., Eugene was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and friend who enriched the lives of those around him.
Laboring with steadfastness and pride, Eugene was heavily involved with the Organized Labor Movement in New York City. His work ethic and reliability made him not only an exemplary worker but also a mentor and a figure of inspiration for many within the construction community.
Beyond the construction sites, Eugene was a man of numerous passions. In his youth, he was an avid biker. He was a fervent New York Rangers and NASCAR fan, following both sports faithfully. Before becoming a doting father, he was known to enjoy hunting, an activity that later gave way to the more relaxed pursuits of fishing, camping, and hiking. Eugene's love for the outdoors was vast and brought him immense joy, and he found peace in the tranquility of nature.
Eugene's kindheartedness was as immense as the outdoors he so loved. His generosity knew no bounds; he was always ready to extend a helping hand to those in need, a true testament to his caring and compassionate spirit.
At home, Eugene was a loving and devoted husband and father. His unwavering support and profound love for his family form an enduring legacy. He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Diane Sparano; his spirit will continue to guide his son, Eugene Sparano and wife Jackie, as well as his son Thomas Sparano and fiancée Lexi. His siblings, Robert Sparano, Linda Fusillo, Victor Sparano, and Jody Colaizzo, will hold onto the cherished memories of their brother. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Stella and Bella.
Eugene will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Old Bridge Funeral Home, 2350 RT 516, Old Bridge, NJ 08857.
