Mr. Eugene Washington, Jr., was born on February 10, 1950, in Delhi, Louisiana, to the late Eugene Washington, Sr., and Dorothy Johnson Washington. He departed this life June 26, 2025, at the home of his niece, Mrs. Glenda Kelly.
JR was employed for many years at the Delhi Manufacturing Boat Plant until it closed. He was then employed with the Pipeline Conustrction Company for a few years. He attended school in Delhi, Louisiana.
Mr. Washington loved his family. He thought the world of his niece and nephews. Mr. Washington loved fishing, cooking, and grilling, and playing dominoes.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Dorothy Washington; one son, Kenneth Wayne Washington; one brother, Shelby Ray Washington; and one sister, Hester Johnson Chapman.
He leaves to cherish his memories: four sisters, Dorothy Porterie (Emerick), Odester Bailey of Baton Rouge, LA, Nancy Carter (Shetlon) of Delhi, LA, Betty Williams of Delhi, LA; three brothers, Larry Washington, Sr. (Gail), Billy Washington, Sr., of Baton Rouge, LA, and Sheldon Washington of Natchez, MS; five children, Corey Williams (Tonya), Linda Johnson (Bobby), James Williams (Verlincia), Marry Ann Jeter (Victor), and Veronica Williams; 15 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one special, faithful, and dedicated niece, Mrs. Glenda Kelly and family; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; a dedicated nephew, Dexter Carter; and a cousin, Randy Carroll.
