Eugene Webb Obituary

Eugene Webb entered eternal rest on May 3rd, 2025 at Overlook hospital in Summit NJ. Eugene was born on July 12, 1958 in Uniontown, V.a to the late Howard Webb and Riader Basham Webb.
He enlisted into the Army at a young age and was called into active service in Newark NJ. He was promoted to a Senior Rifleman after receiving a National Defense Service Medal.
Eugene would later transfer from active duty to serve in the Army Reserve for 8 years until his honorably discharged in 1962. Eugene move to Plainfield NJ and was joined in marriage to Violet Webb until her death in 1974. Eugene found employment as a Laborer for Kentile in South Plainfield, NJ for 10 years. He would eventually establish his own cleaning company that serviced many homes and businesses in the greater NJ area. Eugene also was employed as a facilities manager at Temple Beth El in Plainfield NJ for over 20 years until his retirement.
Eugene would later meet and marry Delores Benbow Webb in 1979. Eugene and Delores resided in Piscataway NJ until his admittance into Senior Housing at Plainfield Tower West.
Eugene was preceded in death by his son Darryl. Sisters Bessie Green, Vogean Webb, Melva Brown, Ernestine Webb, Nancy Webb, Lillie Clements, Geneva Berger, Derotha Wright and Willie Brewer. Three brother; Howard Jr, Solomon and James Webb. Eugene leaves to mourn his wife Delores. Daughters Cheryl and Shernice Benbow. Step children Gary Lanier and Mona Benbow. Four grand children, five great grand children and one great great grand daughter. And a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
