Evelyn McKinney Obituary
Graveside service for Evelyn Joyce McKinney, age 85, of Mountain Park, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, July 21, 2025, at the Rogers Cemetery, (6 mi. West of Hwy 183 on Hwy 62, then 0.5 mi. South on N 2190 Rd) with Rev. Tom Peevyhouse officiating.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home.

July 1, 1940 – July 15, 2025
On July 15th, 2025, our beloved Evelyn Joyce McKinney passed away peacefully, surrounded by the love she so selflessly gave throughout her life. Born on July 1st, 1940, in Oklahoma, Evelyn was the heart of our family—a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a beautiful soul whose warmth touched everyone she met.
Evelyn was known not only for her caring nature but also for her beautiful smile—a smile that could light up a room, offer comfort without words, and make everyone feel at home. It was a reflection of her gentle spirit and the kindness that poured from her heart.
She spent her life caring for others, both as a nurse and as a constant, nurturing presence in the lives of those around her.
Evelyn found joy in the simple, beautiful things—wildflowers, fresh garden soil, a quiet morning. Her love for gardening was as strong as her love for people, and every bloom in her yard was a small piece of her spirit thriving in the sun.
Her legacy is one of unconditional love, quiet strength, and unshakable presence. She taught us how to care deeply, live simply, and love without limits. Though our hearts ache in her absence, her memory will continue to bloom in the lives of all who were lucky enough to be loved by her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy Lee and Ettie Vene Riley. Children Clint McKinney, Joseph McKinney, Aaron McKinney. Grandchildren: Mariah McKinney, Mason McKinney, Christopher McPherson, Acelyn McKinney, and Kaitlyn Villanueva.
She is survived by her husband Murle W. McKinney. Daughters Norma McPherson, Lorry Cardona, Gaylene Standridge, Julie Breger, Mary McKinney, and Jeannie McKinney.
Sons: Sonny McKinney and Jeff McKinney and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
