Faith Germishuizen, 83, of Tifton, Georgia, passed away on September 4, 2025. Born on January 28, 1942, to the late Aubrey E. Jackson and Lorna Duffey Jackson, Faith lived a vibrant life marked by love, creativity, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. Faith was the beloved wife of Peter J. Germishuizen, her best friend and steadfast companion. Throughout her sickness, Peter never left her side and they were an honest example of a loving marriage- for better or worse, in sickness and in health. Their two sons meant the world to her. As a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend- Faith poured her heart into those she cared for, even if they were living across the world from each other- always staying closely connected. Faith was born as a minister's daughter in a small South African town. Her and Peter left South Africa and raised their children in Swaziland, and eventually settled in the United States. With every move, every country, every challenge- she embraced it with grace. She was brave, resilient, and had a boundless capacity to love. She was truly one of a kind. A gifted artist, Faith expressed herself through her paintings. Painting for most of her life, she found a way to express herself and allowed others to experience her creativity as well. She had a true talent and while her health postponed her paintings for a time, in her last days- she decided to pick up the brush once more, sparking her spirits once again. Those who knew Faith will remember her beautiful laugh, her warm smile, how she lit up every room with her presence. Faith had an ability to make others feel seen. She displayed true joy, kindness, and light heartedness. Whether it was duck tape and safety pins before an event or finding coffee mugs in the garden, Faith brought her unique personality to life and made everyone feel at ease. Even in her later days when she wasn't feeling her best, every video call she had with her sons came with a smile and she wanted the focus of conversation to be about them- their lives and their families. She is survived by her husband, Peter, their two sons, and many family members and close friends- who loved and cherished Faith equally as she loved them. While the world feels emptier without her here, we are better to have been graced her presence. We have no doubt she is dancing in the streets of gold, picking up a paint brush with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Faith has forever painted herself in the hearts of those who knew her. A Celebration of Life Service will be held to honor the life of Faith and the love she brought to all on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 2:00pm, at the First Methodist Church in Tifton, Ga.
