Ezikel Ruben Jr. Obituary

A memorial service for Ezikel Ruben Jr. will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Jeane's Funeral Service in Leesville, Louisiana. A visitation will be held at Jeane's on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Ezikel was born August 23, 1977, in Shreveport, Louisiana and passed away August 1, 2025, in Leesville, Louisiana at the age of 47. He lived in Louisiana most of his life and never met a stranger. His outgoing nature and contagious laughter helped him make friends easily. He was the type that never forgot a face. Underneath that tough exterior, he was a kind-hearted soul who loved to make people laugh. By no means was he perfect, but he did the best he could do. Zeke enjoyed fishing, freestyling, bingo, eating, and hanging out with family and friends. He will be truly missed.

Ezikel was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jimmy & Lucille Ruben, Charlie Tilmon, and Olla V. Brock.

Those left to cherish his memory are his sons, Andre Ruben and Trevon Lewis;

daughter, Ayanna Henderson;

stepdaughters, Rodriena Hickman and Jayieana Calahan;

granddaughter, Daryala Hickman;

father, Ezikel Ruben Sr.;

mother, Loretha Tilmon Brignac;

brothers, Gregory Ruben and Jason King;

sisters, Mentell Ruben, Angela Bass (Eric), Elizabeth King, Sharika King, and Deandrea King;

girlfriend, April Hickman;

and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
