Mrs. Fannie Burkett Nunnery, of Ridgely, passed away Friday, July 11, 2025 at Signature Healthcare in Ridgely. She was born October 24, 1930 in Hustburg, TN to the late Hardy and Lettie Burkett.
Fannie is survived by her sons Rodney and wife, Stephanie of Meridian, MS, Lilbern Henson and wife, Barbara, of Ridgely and William Michael Henson and wife, Patricia, of Troy, TN. A daughter, Ruthie Olds of Dyersburg, two sisters Betty Verlene Bray of Tiptonville and Corinne Buchanan of Troy, eight grandchildren; Dennis Henson, Michael Henson, Amanda Hailey, Lauran Richards, Kemper Harrell, Karrington Harmon, Lauryl Baker and Ginger Runge and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Nunnery, her parents, two sisters; Mary Marvin and Jerri Suiter and four brothers; Ben, Larry, Lynn and Bert Burkett.
Fannie was a dedicated homemaker also working at Rolane Manufacturing. She was a devoted member of First Pentecostal Church in Dyersburg and loved time spent in bible study. She enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, watching hummingbirds and feeding her pet squirrels. She treasured any time spent with her family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at the Dyersburg Funeral Home Ridgely Chapel with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Brent Rashall. Interment will follow in New Haven Cemetery in Ridgely. Dennis and Michael Henson, Michael Richards, Bryce Harrell, Zachary Harmon, Michael Coley and Austin Kirkland will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Hunter Henson, Logan Blakley, Aiden Henson, Ethan Bowers, Skylar Walton Ronnie Dean and Terry Burkett.
