Mrs. Jane Murray, 91, of West Point, Georgia passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 8, 2025 at her residence.
Mrs. Murray was born on August the 5th, 1933 to the late Farris and Zelma Mize.
She was a lifetime member of West Point Christian Church, Spring Road Christian Church, where she was active in the choir.
She was part owner and teacher of Le-An-Ja-Ze School of Dance which operated for over 50 years, touching the lives of hundreds of young girls. She also loved traveling and took many cruises and visited many countries all over the world. She also was a member of the Painted Rock Players, and active in her community.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Donald N. Murray, her children Marie Givhan (Andy) Rydal Georgia, Elizabeth Lee Murray, West Point Georgia; one grandchild Dr. Sam Webb (Hillari); four great grandchildren Michael, Christopher, Winter and Harvey Webb.
Visitation will be held at Valley-Point Funeral Home in Lanett, Alabama on Thursday June 12th at 4:00 pm ET with the service following at 5:00.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Chattahoochee Hospice in honor of anyone that Hospice has served.
