It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Faye Porter-Keeton, who departed this life on December 16, 2024, at the age of 78. A native of Detroit, Michigan, Faye was one of six children, and she embodied love, resilience, and the joy of family throughout her life.
Faye was a loving companion and wife to her husband, Michael Keeton, for over thirty wonderful years. Together, they created countless cherished memories. Faye was also a devoted mother to her son, Robert Burns, and a proud grandmother to Lindsay Burns, who brightened her days along with her great-grandchild, Phoenix Burns.
Faye had a passion for traveling. She loved exploring national monuments and soaking in the beauty of this great country. Whether it was a quick weekend trip or a grand adventure, she was always ready to hit the road. But more than anything, Faye was known for her incredible cooking. She had a special knack for making biscuits from scratch that could bring a smile to anyone's face.
Faye's spirit will undoubtedly live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her. Per Faye's request, her body will be cremated and her ashes spread in the ocean that she loved dearly. The family request that you remember her and the love, laughter and light that she brought into our lives.
