FELIX THEYS Obituary
He was born in Beaverdale, PA, on September 18, 1938, to the late Felix Joseph and Agnes (Draye) Theys.
Felix attended Parma Senior High School and then attended Cleveland State University for mechanical engineering. In 1978, Felix opened his own engineering consulting business and ran it until his retirement in 2020. He also taught mechanical engineering to architectural students at Kent State University.
A proud veteran of the Air Force, Felix was assigned to the Strategic Air Command unit. A faithful church attendee, Felix was an active member of several local community boards in the Medina county area. Felix was a car enthusiast, and also enjoyed world traveling, boating, and RVing.
Felix will be remembered for his sense of humor and teaching his children how to laugh.
Besides his parents, Felix is preceded in death by his loving wife, Carol M. Theys, and a sister, Adelia Stonewell.
Survivors include his four children: Deborah (Kevin) Herbert of Granger Twp, OH, Scott (Nancy) Theys of Greenville, SC, Kristen (Daniel) Cesareo of Canal Fulton,
OH, and Amy (Adam) Weills of Westfield Twp, OH; grandchildren: Jennifer (Derek) Kissinger of Medina, OH, Craig (Kristi) Herbert of Millbury, OH, Ross (Ally) Herbert of Strongsville, OH, Nathan Herbert of Granger Twp, OH, Lauren Theys of Oak Harbor, OH, Scott Theys of North Myrtle Beach, SC, Ryan (Jordan) Theys of Columbia, SC, Morgan (Jacob) Deas of Greer, SC, Chelsey Peltz of Howell, MI, Felix Peltz of Ashland, OH, Gabrielle Cesareo of Tiffin, OH, Dillon West of Broadview Heights, OH, and Josephine Weills of Westfield Twp, OH; a sister, Linda Palicka of Canal Fulton, OH; eight great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family will be honoring Felix' memory on Friday evening, August 8, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at Carlson Funeral Home - Medina Chapel, 3477 Medina Road, Medina, Ohio 44256. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 9, 2025. at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Rocky Taylor officiating. Following services, Felix will be laid to rest with his beloved Carol, at Poe Cemetery.
