Fidel Patino, age 74, passed away, Friday, July 18, 2025. Viewing will be 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m, Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church in Silverton. Cremation arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home. He was born on September 16, 1950, in Buda, TX, to Flavio and Minerva Patino. Silverton was home to Fidel for over 60 years. He lived a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. He was the kind of guy who could light up a room no matter the circumstances, always ready with a joke or a story that would have everyone in tears of joy. He cherished his family above all else, and some of his happiest moments were spent surrounded by the people he loved the most. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, never missing a game and always wearing his Cowboys beanie and Cowboys jacket. Beyond football, he was a huge fan of WWE. He and all of his children watched wrestling every Monday. He was also an avid fan of Jerry Springer. He also loved cruising around listening to 90's rock music with his favorite child Indio. Many of his recent years were spent scrolling and talking to his girlfriends on Facebook. He was quite the celebrity. He was once on the David Letterman show. He claims that he was more famous than Sara Pollen or whatever that lady's name is from Alaska. He always told us that he was going to run for president, and we fully supported his decision. He dreamt of going salmon fishing in Alaska one day. Our dad, brother, Papa Del, and also known infamously as Blue duck, said he was the oldest Hippie you'll ever meet. Everyone around knew of Ol' Blue Duck. There are lots of good stories about him. He was a fearless man, and we're sure he had more than nine lives. There are many memories of him wrestling with snakes and other unusual things. His favorite thing to do was to tell every woman he saw that they were beautiful. No matter if you knew him or not, you were catching a compliment from him. Throughout his life, he worked in many places. Most of his time was spent partying with his friends and spending time with his family. He was a loving and caring man who consistently put a smile on everyone's face. His many friends and his family will deeply miss him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Flavio and Minerva Patino, his brothers, Filiberto, Florentino, Flavio, Fidencio, and Felix. Fidel is survived by his six siblings, Fernando, Olivia, Olga, Odelia, Obelia, Mari, his six children Gloria, Lena, Lana, Minerva, Indio, Xena, his 14 grandchildren, Damon, Mariah, Miles, AJ, Kaison, Cambree, Lara, Zaden, Jeremy, Evan, Mackenzie, Slade, Harper, Alice, his two great grandchildren, Ivy, and Crue, and his three dogs, Homer, Brando and Blue. Long Live The Legend Blue Duck "One love, one heart, let's get together and feel all the right," and "Don't gain the world and lose your soul, wisdom is better than silver and gold" - Bob Marley
