Flora Ann (Spanks) Hammon
July 18, 1959 – February 15, 2025
With hearts full of love and gratitude for a life well-lived, we honor Flora Ann (Spanks) Hammon, who passed away peacefully on February 15, 2025, in Lawton, Oklahoma, at the age of 65.
Born on July 18, 1959, in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to Larry Spanks, Jr. and El Flora (Edwards) Muldrow, Flora Ann's life was a testament to her faith, resilience, and unwavering devotion to her family and friends. She spent over 30 years in Colorado Springs, enjoying travel before settling in Lawton, Oklahoma. Wherever she was, she brought warmth, joy, and a deep sense of love to those around her.
Flora Ann had a kind and generous heart. She found great joy in attending church, sewing, cooking, hosting gatherings, and accounting-pouring her love into everything she undertook. Whether she was preparing a nourishing meal, offering a listening ear, or ensuring everything was well-organized, she was a source of strength and support to many. A devout woman, her faith guided her through life's challenges and successes, leaving an unforgettable impression on everyone who knew her.
She is now reunited in eternal rest with her beloved parents, Larry Spanks, Jr. and El Flora (Edwards) Muldrow, and her brother, Larry Spanks.
Although she has left this world, her love continues in the hearts of those she leaves behind-her devoted husband, Herman L. Hammon, Jr. of Lawton, Oklahoma; her children: daughters, Natasha (Flowers) Fuller of Fort Worth, Texas, and Sacsha (Flowers) Calixte of Baldwin, New York, and her son, Antone (Shamir) Jackson of Virginia Beach, Virginia; her brothers, David and Jerry Spanks of Colorado Springs, Colorado; her nieces, Leah Spanks and Christine Nicole Adler; her sisters-in-law, Vanessa Spanks and Carolyn Carey; her six cherished grandchildren; and a large extended family and many dear friends.
Flora Ann's presence was a gift, her love was immeasurable, and her legacy will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched. While she will be deeply missed, we find solace in knowing that she is now at peace, embraced by those who preceded her.
Forever loved. Forever remembered. Forever honored.
