Florence Jaskinia Obituary

Florence Jaskinia, age 94, of Cestohowa passed away peacefully on Monday, July 7, 2025. She was born to Ignatz Waclawczyk and Annie Dziuk Waclawczyk on August 9, 1930 in Kosciusko, Tx.
Throughout her life, Florence was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She spent her life in Cestohowa, raising her family and instilling a strong work ethic in her sons. Florence was a faithful member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, where she served on the altar society for many years. She volunteered her time annually to the turkey dinner and church picnics. Additionally, Florence spent many years working at various dances held at the Cestohowa hall. As a farmer and rancher, she deeply enjoyed working the land in all aspects. Recently, Florence was awarded the Lumen Gentium award by the San Antonio Archdiocese for her many years of devotion to her parish. Florence was a strong woman who valued the simple things in life and will be deeply missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Fred Jaskinia; sons, Alvin and John Ray Jaskinia; and brother, Vincent Waclawczyk.
Florence is survived by her son, Timothy (Bernadette) Jaskinia; daughter-in-laws, Kathleen Jaskinia, and Michelle Jaskinia Dziuk; grandchildren, Kristi (Aaron) Pape, Heather (Landon) Yosko, Addison (Austin) Custer, Dayton (Taylor) Jaskinia, Trenton Jaskinia; great-grandchildren, Hayden Pape, Brennen Pape, Lathan Yosko, Loaklyn Yosko, Kennedy Jaskinia; brothers, Fabian Waclawczyk and Adrain Waclawczyk.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 10th at the Nativity of the B.V.M. Catholic Church in Cestohowa. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 11th also at the church. Burial will follow at the Cestohowa Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dayton Jaskinia, Trenton Jaskinia, Austin Custer, Aaron Pape, Landon Yosko, and Jeffery Waclawczyk. Honorary pallbearers will be Hayden Pape, Brennen Pape, Lathan Yosko.
