After a long career as a barber, he joined the Gresham School district in the 1970s as a custodian until his retirement in 1993.
After retirement, Floyd relocated to his childhood town of Condon Oregon and remarried in 1999 to San Ok Song also from Condon. The two enjoyed adventuring across the United States in their thirty years of marriage.
Floyd is survived by his wife, San Ok Song; daughter Retta June Anderson of the Dallas; son Floyd Curtis Cook of the Dalles; grandson Justin Kuykendalls of Troutdale; nine great grand children, and numerous nephews and nieces.
